Announcing the launch of the Peace and Spring Marathon in Afrin
ARK News… In the presence of Dr. Abdel Hakim Bachar and Abdul Majeed Barakat, vice-presidents of the Syrian National Coalition, and member of the political body Abdullah Kado, the Peace and Spring Marathon was announced in the city of Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan.
In the city of Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan, the organizing committee of the Peace and Spring Marathon, on Thursday, 25/4/2024, held a press conference to announce the Peace and Spring Marathon in the city of Afrin, and to talk about the identity of the race and the participating and supporting entities, in addition to the organizational rules, arbitration, and safety and security procedures.
This marathon, in its current session, was called “Major General Muhammad al-Fares’ Course” in honor of him for his role and immortal stances in the Syrian revolution.
The marathon will start with the participation of about 200 competitors from different age groups, on April 27, and includes one 10 km race to suit all members of society of different ages and fitness levels, in exchange for financial prizes that will be received by the winners of the first three places.
The press conference was attended by Muhammad Rashid, Vice President of the Local Council of Afrin, in addition to a group of influential athletes in Syrian sports, representatives of the Syrian Women’s Authority, and representatives of a number of youth and community federations and associations.

The Kurdish National Council Calls for the Immediate Release of Nasser Jaro
ARK News… The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement regarding the abduction of Nasser Jaro, a member of the Yakity Kurdistan Party in Amouda, condemning in the strongest terms the fierce and intimidating campaign by armed members of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), affirming that these violations serve the enemies of the Kurdish people.
The General Secretariat called on all political parties, civil society organizations, and human rights organizations to condemn these intimidating practices and to uncover the fate of Nasser Jaro and release him immediately.
Furthermore, the statement urged the international coalition to combat ISIS led by the United States to exert the necessary pressure to stop these violations against the Kurdish National Council and to release the council's detainees held in PYD prisons.
The text of the statement reads as follows:
"Armed members of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) as part of their systematic and ongoing campaign targeted the Kurdish National Council on April 21, 2024, by kidnapping Mr. Nasser Jaro while he was returning from work in his village to his home in Amouda. His fate remains unknown as of the writing of this statement. He is a member of the Area Committee of the Yakity Kurdistan Party in Amouda, and a member of the Khinav Folklore Group in Amouda, known for his critical theatrical works depicting the citizens' suffering due to the prevailing high cost of living and corruption within the Democratic Union Party's administration.
The Kurdish National Council in Syria condemns in the strongest terms this fierce and intimidating campaign by armed members of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), affirming that these violations serve the enemies of the Kurdish people. The Council calls on all political parties, civil society organizations, our people in all their activities, and human rights organizations to condemn these intimidating practices, uncover the fate of Mr. Nasser Jaro, and release him immediately. The Council also urges the International Coalition to combat ISIS led by the United States to exert the necessary pressure to stop these violations against the Kurdish National Council and to release the Council's detainees held in PYD prisons.
The Council assures its supporters that these intimidating acts will not deter it from continuing to serve our Kurdish people and working tirelessly to secure their legitimate national rights in a federal democratic Syria for all Syrians."

تجمع العشرات من أبناء السويداء في ساحة الكرامة وسط المدينة مطالبين بالحرية وإسقاط النظام.
شارك اليوم الجمعة ( 26/4/2024 ) العشرات من أبناء السويداء في مظاهرة شعبية بساحة الكرامة وسط المدينة، مطالبين بالحرية وإسقاط النظام والإفراج الفوري عن المعتقلين وتطبيق القرار الدولي 2254.
ورفع المتظاهرون يوم أمس الخميس لافتات كتبت عليها عبارات عديدة كان من بينها " استمرارنا بسلميتنا " و " نهج النظام الدموية ونهجنا سلميتنا"، و"يموت الجبناء في مخابئهم أما الثوار فلا يهمهم أين يموتون".
انطلقت الانتفاضة السلمية في مدينة السويداء منذ حوالي 7 أشهر بسبب تدهور الوضع المعيشي والأمني، مطالبين بإسقاط النظام السوري وخروج إيران من البلاد باعتبارها محتلة، وتطبيق القرار الأممي 2254، الذي يضمن تحقيق انتقال سلمي للسلطة عبر انتخابات ديمقراطية بإشراف الأمم المتحدة.

نجاة رشدي تطالب بحماية المدنيين في سوريا وفق القانون الإنساني
طالبت نائبة مبعوث الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة الخاص إلى سوريا، نجاة رشدي، جميع الجهات الفاعلة ذات الصلة في سوريا بضرورة حماية المدنيين والبنية التحتية المدنية، بما يتماشى مع القانون الدولي الإنساني.
خلال اجتماع مجموعة العمل الإنسانية، أمس الخميس، في مدينة جنيف السويسرية، قالت نائبة مبعوث الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة الخاص إلى سوريا نجاة رشدي إنه من الضروري أن "تضمن الأطراف المعنية المرور الآمن للطلاب والمشرفين إلى مراكز التعليم والاختبار أثناء الامتحانات الوطنية".
وأكدت أن "الوصول على التعليم يجب أن يكون عادلاً وشاملاً لجميع الأطفال والشباب، بغض النظر عن هويتهم أو المكان الذي يعيشون فيه"، مشددة على أن ذلك "أمر ضروري للغاية لمستقبل أكثر إشراقاً".
وناشت رشدي الدول الأعضاء بدعم "جميع الجهود الرامية إلى توفير المساعدات الإنسانية المستمرة عبر الحدود، وضمان القدرة على توقع المساعدات"، معربة عن تقديرها للجهود المبذولة على خطوط التماس.
كما دعت الأطراف المعنية إلى "منح الموافقات والضمانات الأمنية بشكل دائم، لضمان وصول المساعدات عبر الخطوط إلى جميع أنحاء سوريا".

الصفدي يحذر من تراجُع الدعم الدولي للاجئين السوريين
حذر وزير الخارجية الأردني أيمن الصفدي، من التراجع الكبير في الدعم الدولي، والخدمات المقدَّمة للاجئين السوريين بالأردن.
وقال الوزير الأردني خلال استقباله الأمين العام للمجلس الدنماركي للاجئين شارلوت سلنت: إن بلاده لن تكون قادرة على سد الفراغ في المساعدات والخدمات، ما ينعكس على اللاجئين وظروف معيشتهم.
كما أكد الصفدي أن “مسؤولية ذلك تقع على المجتمع الدولي، الذي تراجعت جهوده إزاء القضية السورية وقضية اللاجئين”.
ولفت إلى أن حل قضية اللاجئين السوريين يكون بعودتهم إلى وطنهم، “ما يستوجب جهوداً أكبر لحل الأزمة السورية، وإيجاد الظروف التي تتيح العودة الطوعية للاجئين”.
كذلك، أكد الوزير الأردني أن بلاده ستستمر في بذل كل جهد ممكن “والعمل مع الأشقاء والشركاء للتوصل لحل للأزمة السورية ينهي معاناة الشعب السوري، ويحفظ وحدة سورية، ويوفر ظروف العودة الطوعية للاجئين”.

قوات التحالف الدولي تستقدم تعزيزات عسكرية إلى قاعدة خراب الجير جنوبي الرميلان
في إطار تعزيز قواعدها في سوريا, استقدمت قوات التحالف الدولي طائرة شحن عسكرية إلى قاعدة لها في كوردستان سوريا.
قالت مصادر إعلامية سورية إن قوات التحالف الدولي استقدمت مساء يوم الخميس ( 25/4/2024 )، طائرة شحن تحمل معدات عسكرية ولوجستية وجنود، لقاعدتها في خراب الجير جنوبي الرميلان بكوردستان سوريا.
وفقا للمصادر الإعلامية تزامن وصول طائرة الشحن العسكرية تحليق للمروحيات والمسيرات في سماء المنطقة.
وفي 23 نيسان الجاري هبطت طائرة شحن عسكرية تابعة للقوات الأمريكية في منطقة قاعدة قسرك بريف مدينة الحسكة، محملة بمعدات عسكرية ومواد لوجستية.
