ARK News: A women's demonstration was held, On Saturday, 4-8-2018, mostly from the families of the detainees about hundreds in Jenderes town in rural Afrin Kurdistan of Syria, to condemn the brutal and continuing violations by armed groups against Kurdish citizens and the delay in releasing their relatives for a while.
“Hundreds of relatives of the detainees, most of them were women, went out in a demonstration in the main street of Jenderes town in the countryside of Afrin, to demand the release of the remaining detainees in the prisons of armed groups, most of them are older people and have chronic diseases like asthma and bronchitis, Some sources from the families of the detainees in the Jenderes town reported to ARK News.
the protesters chanted against those armed groups and demanded to stop the arrest of their relatives and not ask for ransom from them in exchange for their release, they also chastised against the daily violations against the people, such as members of armed groups are robbing cars at night in front of the houses with fire to intimidate them, The same source said.
"This is the third time that women went out of the demonstration during a month in order to meet their demands for the release of their relatives that the town witnessed a state of great congestion after the campaign of arrests, which led to the arrest of 16 Kurdish citizens in aim of extorting them and asking for ransom from them, where 8 people are still in detention, according to the same source " .
It is worth mentioning that the frequency of violations against Kurdish citizens in Afrin region by armed groups increases day after day, at a time that the arrest file became, a means for those thieves to extort the citizens financially in exchange for their release or to push them to emigrate outside the region, so as to place the Turkish State before moral and legal responsibility To stop and curb those violations of looting and dispossession and destruction of the infrastructure of Afrin region by those pro-Turkish armed groups.
