
A campaign of arrests and widespread violations in rural Afrin
ARK News: Turkish soldiers, with the help of elements of armed groups, launched a large-scale of search campaign, today morning, in the village of Badina in the area of Mabata in Afrin Kurdistan of Syria, which resulted in the arrest of 10 civilians, including women, in addition to, informing the Turkish army to civilians in the village of Ras Al-Ahmar (Qizil Pasha) in the area of Bulbil to evacuate their homes on the grounds that it has become a military zone.
"Turkish soldiers accompanied by gunmen from armed groups launched a large-scale search, today morning, of all homes in the village of Badina searching of weapons and fighters of Popular Protection Units, adding that the campaign resulted in the arrest of ten citizens from the village, including women, but they released four citizens in the evening, while six others are still in detention and their fate is unknown so far”, special source from the city of Afrin said.
"The Turkish army informed the citizens of the village of Ras al-Ahmar (Qazl Pasha) in the area of Bulbul town to evacuate their homes around the military headquarters of Turkish forces on the grounds that it has become a military zone," according to a special source.
The source added that "elements of the Suqore Al-Shamal faction were harvesting nuts for all people of the village of Bele in the area of Bulbil town, whether their owners are with Popular Protection Units or against them, s well as lodging of the displaced people from the northern Homs countryside in that village to steal agricultural crops of the sumac and walnut from the homes of the people. "
It is noteworthy that pro-Turkish army armed groups, which participated in the occupation of the city of Afrin, committed dozens of crimes against the residents of Afrin, such as murder, kidnapping, robbery, theft, burning crops, and appropriating citizens' property, as well as the destruction of archaeological and religious monuments and deliberately set fire to trees of the forests aimed at destroying the infrastructure of the area.
