Israeli Army Erects Reinforced Barrier West of Al-Rafid in Syria's Quneitra Countryside

The Israeli army erected a reinforced iron barrier supported by concrete blocks on Thursday, June 25, 2026, along a recently constructed road near the separation fence with the occupied Golan Heights, west of the town of Al-Rafid in the southern Syrian countryside of Quneitra, according to a media source.
According to RT Arabic, the newly installed barrier is located within agricultural land approximately 300 meters from the separation fence, creating an obstacle to the movement of local residents in the surrounding area. The report said Israeli military measures continue along the border region near the disengagement line, with daily restrictions affecting civilians living in nearby villages and towns.
In a related development, an Israeli military force consisting of three vehicles crossed through the al-Jala Gate, west of Al-Rafid, on Wednesday. The force raided and thoroughly searched two houses but did not detain any residents during the operation.
