Iran’s Araghchi Signals Readiness for Uranium Enrichment Limits in Exchange for Sanctions Relief

ARK News.. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed his country’s readiness to reach a “genuine and lasting agreement” that would impose limits on uranium enrichment in exchange for lifting Western sanctions.

In an article published Sunday, September 7, 2025, by The Guardian, Araghchi wrote that Tehran is prepared for a real compromise on its nuclear program. He warned that missing this “narrow window of opportunity” could carry grave consequences for both the region and the wider world.

“If diplomacy is not given the necessary time, the outcome will not be satisfactory,” Araghchi cautioned.

He also noted that Iran is close to reaching an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). According to the agency’s estimates, prior to recent Israeli and U.S. strikes, Iran possessed enough 60%-enriched uranium to potentially build six nuclear weapons if further refined to weapons-grade purity of 90%
