Pakistan Stresses the Importance of Ensuring the Security and Safety of Maritime Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz

In a statement, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on all concerned parties to exercise maximum restraint and refrain from taking any escalatory measures that could undermine the prospects for peace and stability in the region.

The ministry also stressed that there is no alternative to dialogue and diplomatic solutions for achieving the shared goals of regional peace and stability, affirming that the resolution of disputes and differences must always be pursued through direct negotiations.

Furthermore, the Foreign Ministry noted that the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Islamabad continues to serve as a solid framework for building peace and promoting mutual respect. It reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to encouraging all parties to cease hostilities and resume technical talks, despite the challenges currently facing the implementation of the memorandum.
