Kurdistan Democratic Party–Syria and Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party Hold Talks on Latest Political Developments
ARK News.. A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party–Syria (KDP-S), headed by Secretary-General Mohammad Ismail, visited the headquarters of the Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria in the city of Qamishlo on Thursday, July 16, 2026, to discuss the latest political developments in Syria.
The KDP-S delegation was received by members of the Political Bureau of the Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party, where both sides reviewed recent political developments on the Syrian scene.
During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on current developments and discussed ways to revitalize the Kurdish National Council (KNC) and strengthen its role during the current phase.
The discussions also focused on bilateral relations between the two parties, with both sides emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation in support of the Kurdish cause and efforts to reinforce Kurdish unity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties stressed the importance of maintaining regular dialogue, consultation, and coordination to address current challenges and advance the national and Kurdish interests of the Kurdish people in Syria.
