Israel: Lebanese Hezbollah targeted Majdal Shams with a Falaq 1 missile

ARK News.. Israel confirmed that Lebanese Hezbollah targeted Majdal Shams with an Iranian-made missile, and this missile is only available to Lebanese Hezbollah.

The Israeli army said in a statement on Sunday, July 28, 2024, that Hezbollah knows that the shell on Majdal Shams is of the "Falaq 1" type, and that the missile carries a 53 kg warhead.

Adding that the leader of Lebanese Hezbollah, Muhammad Ali Yahya, is responsible for the Majdal Shams attack.

Daniel Hagari, the spokesman for the Israeli army, said earlier that the missile used in the attack on Majdal Shams was of the Iranian-made "Falaq 1" type, and that this missile is only available to Lebanese Hezbollah.

12 children were killed, and about 40 others were injured with varying degrees of injury, some of them in critical condition, as a result of a missile attack between Lebanese Hezbollah and Israel last Saturday, and both Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah exchanged accusations of being behind it.

About the "Falaq 1"

- Developed in the 1990s, and manufactured in Iran, the largest ally of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

- It is 9.4 inches (about 24 centimetres) in diameter, 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) long, and has a range of about 6.2 miles (about 10 kilometres).

- It is solid-fuelled and has a large warhead.

- It can be launched from land-based launchers, and can also hit naval targets.
