President Barzani Congratulates Voice of Kurdistan Radio on Its 62nd Anniversary

On the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the founding of Voice of Kurdistan Radio, President Masoud Barzani sent a congratulatory message today, Saturday, praising the station’s historic role in conveying the voice of the Kurdish revolution and the just cause of the Kurdish people to audiences at home and abroad. He emphasized the importance of continuing an honest, principled media approach rooted in national and patriotic values.

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Directors and Staff of Voice of Kurdistan Radio,

On the occasion of the sixty-second anniversary of the founding of Voice of Kurdistan Radio, I extend my warmest congratulations to you, dear colleagues, as well as to the supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the entire people of Kurdistan.

The establishment of Voice of Kurdistan Radio during those difficult yet proud days was a crucial step in bringing the voice of the revolution — and the stories of the bravery and sacrifices of the Peshmerga — to our steadfast people across Kurdistan. It also became a modern medium to deliver the message of the oppression endured by the Kurdish people and their just cause to public opinion in Iraq, the region, and the world.

On this occasion, I express my gratitude and appreciation to all the fighters and activists who played a role in keeping alive the brave voice of Voice of Kurdistan Radio.

I call upon you to continue your truthful and principled media work, to uphold national, patriotic, and human values, and to persist in the free, revolutionary, and democratic path for which this radio station was established.

I wish you continued success and prosperity.
