Suwayda: Mass Protest in Shahba City with Hundreds of Participants
ARK News.. Local media sources reported that the city of Shahba, in northern Suwayda province, witnessed a mass demonstration today, Saturday, September 27, 2025, with hundreds of residents taking to the streets.
Protesters raised slogans demanding the right to self-determination and the immediate release of all abducted men and women.
According to local reports, demonstrators condemned what they described as "massacres" committed by Syria’s transitional authority in Suwayda, vowing to continue their protest movement until their demands are met.
Elsewhere in Suwayda city, dozens of demonstrators marched carrying pictures of local figures from the Druze community who support Damascus and interim president Ahmad al-Sharaa, denouncing them as traitors to the province.
Protesters also called for an end to what they described as concessions and steps that harm the interests of Suwayda and its residents.
