Hundreds Referred to Judiciary Over Coastal Syria Attacks
ARK News.. The National Independent Commission of Inquiry into the coastal Syria events announced the referral of 298 individuals accused of attacking civilians and 265 others accused of assaulting public security personnel to the judiciary.
According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, commission spokesperson Yasser al-Farhan stated that withholding the names of the accused aims to protect their rights, ensure they stand fair trial, and prevent retaliatory actions that could spark communal tensions in geographically mixed areas.
Al-Farhan added that full lists containing the names and detailed data of the suspects have been submitted to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, confirming that the Ministry of Justice has begun reviewing the files and implementing arrest and investigation procedures
