Israel Targets Hamas Leadership Headquarters in Qatar
ARK News.. The Israeli military announced it carried out airstrikes on Qatar, targeting the Hamas leadership headquarters in the capital, Doha.
In a statement, the Israeli army said, “The Air Force carried out a precision strike on Hamas leadership in Doha.”
The statement added that the targeted Hamas leaders “have directed the group’s activities for years and bear direct responsibility for the October 7 massacre and for waging the war against Israel.”
According to the Israeli army, measures were taken ahead of the strike to avoid civilian casualties, including the use of precision-guided munitions and additional intelligence.
Later, Israel’s public broadcaster reported that senior Hamas leaders Khalil al-Hayya and Zaher Jabbarin were killed in the Doha strike.
Earlier, Reuters reported hearing several explosions in the Qatari capital, with smoke rising over the Katara area, without giving further details.
Meanwhile, U.S. outlet Axios reported that Israel targeted Hamas leadership in Doha while they were holding a meeting to discuss the U.S. proposal.
The Jerusalem Post also confirmed that “the Doha explosions were the result of an Israeli operation against Hamas leaders in Qatar.”
