International Coalition: The Battle Of East Euphrates Is Difficult
ARK News: The international coalition of the US-led against "Da’esh" announced its estimates regarding the number of members of the Da’esh organization in Syrian Hajin area, where the battle against the terrorist organization entered its third month.
The deputy commander of the Joint Task Force in the coalition, General Christopher Gika, from Baghdad on Tuesday said: "According to our estimates, there are between 1,500 and 2,000 of Da’esh militias in Hajin, pointing that the battle against “Da’esh” “ in East Euphrates is very difficult because of so many of its militias there, according to the “Tass”.”
Gika said that the terrorists had beefed up their defensive positions in Hajin area by building fortifications and digging tunnels underground.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which launched the last battle against Da’esh with a US-backed in Hajin area in September 10, and said that some of 3,000 militias were holed up in the region, which is one of the last pockets of the organization in Syria.
The Foreign Ministry of the Syrian regime directed two letters to the United Nations and the Security Council condemning in them the International Alliance's raids on Hajin and around it that resulted in the death of dozens of civilians.
