US military aid to Ukraine worth $600 million

ARK News... The United States, on Thursday announced a new military aid worth 600 million dollars to Ukraine, which includes, in particular, mine-clearing equipment and various types of ammunition.

The Pentagon said in a statement that the assistance was intended to meet Ukraine's "battlefield needs" and demonstrate the "unwavering support" of the United States.

However, this new assistance will not be immediately available in the field, as it falls within the framework of the Security Assistance Program for Ukraine, through which Washington provides equipment to this country through its defense industry or its partners, rather than drawing it directly from its stocks.

This announcement comes a day after US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken revealed, on Wednesday, a billion-dollar aid to Kiev, which includes supplying Ukraine with 120 mm depleted uranium ammunition for the American Abrams tanks, which Washington promised to deliver to Kiev.

The United States leads an international coalition to support Ukraine, and has pledged more than $43 billion in military aid to Kiev since the conflict began in February 2022.
