Ilham Ahmed: We have provided thousands of martyrs for the sake of the unity of the Syrian territory

ARK News: A leader in the Democratic Syria Council belonging to the Democratic Union Party, said that they have provided thousands of martyrs for the unity of Syrian territory.

Ilham Ahmed, the executive president of the Democratic Syria Council, which belongs to PYD for a website of her Party on negotiations with the Syrian regime said that “these meetings were only meetings between the two sides, creating the atmosphere and holding some talks to open the door in front of the negotiations.”

Ahmed also said that if their goal was the separation they wouldn’t go to Damascus and she stressed that "since the beginning of the crisis in Syria no one demanded from all the components of the Syrian north to separate from the Syrian state"

Ahmed added that they had provided thousands of martyrs "for the sake of the unity of Syrian territorial and fighting the black terrorism.”

Since the summer of 2012 and until now, thousands of young Kurds who were kidnapped by the Democratic Unionist Party and who have been martyred in their wars outside the Kurdistan areas of Syria, such as Raqqa, Al-Tabqa, Manbij and Deir Al-Zour, and she more than once expressed more than one once her willingness to go to Idlib to support the Syrian regime in its battle there.

The British newspaper, The Guardian had also confirmed several days before that a group of Syrian Democratic militants has reached the outskirts of Jisr al-Shughur in southern Idlib to participate alongside the Syrian regime in the Battle of Idlib.
