Documenting the fires of Hasaka during the past week ... No solutions looming in the horizon

ARK News: The fires are still devouring dozens of hectares of agricultural crops in different areas of al-Jazeera region in Kurdistan of Syria, without being able to slow down or take effective deterrent and protection measures.

The fires, which broke out last Sunday, have been documented and fire has been raging over the past few days, and no solutions have been found to reduce or even accelerate to extinguish the fire.

Here is the documenting of most of the fires that have broken out over the past five days.

On Monday, May 27

The burning of 200 acres of agricultural crops in the village of Tel Kochar in the villages of Dardarah and al-Kino. In the area of Qamishlo since the beginning of the season is estimated at 1690 acres, and 7 hectares.

On Tuesday, May 28

The fires consumed an area of 10 hectares of agricultural land in the village of Shalhumiya in rural Tirba Spiye.

On Wednesday, May 29

Extinguishing a fire in the village of eastern of Tall Aylul in the countryside of Derbasiya city which devoured 5 Acers.
A fire broke out in agricultural land southeast of the town of Tel Ma'arof in the villages of Farsouk and al-Niaj.


Perhaps the biggest fire was in the countryside of Hasaka, where the fire extended from the village of Sulaimaniyah to the village of Khirbet al-Jamous, which led to the burning of 3000 Acers of wheat and barley.
According to civil sources, a person riding a motorcycle set fire to the crop and fled away.

On Thursday, May 30th

5 hectares of wheat crop burnt north of the town of Chil Agha
In addition, 150 Acres of barley were burnt in the village of Al-Daoudiya in the town of Tal Tamer for unknown reasons.

Before Saturday, 1 June

A fire broke out on agricultural land in the village of Khirbat Bustan in rural Amouda which devoured 600 Acres.
A fire broke out in the village of al-Burm in rural of Ras al-Ain on Saturday. The fire was controlled after 500 Acres of agricultural land which were confiscated for wheat and barley.

A fire broke out in the agricultural land of the village of Mohammed al-Ziyaab south of the town of Qahtaniyah on Saturday afternoon, which led to the devouring about 25 acres of crops of farmers.

Despite a large number of fires and hundreds of hectares and losses in millions, it has not reached a solution yet to reduce the number of fires and the extent of the fires.

Among the fears of fire, the low price of buying crops, and the high costs of agriculture, peasants remain the weakest link waiting for real solutions.
