ARK News.. The Scandinavian Representation of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria has issued an appeal to Kurdish communities across Scandinavian countries, urging them not to be drawn into irresponsible slogans that could undermine public security and safety. It also called on them to reject all forms of violence and vandalism and refrain from damaging public or private property.

The following is the full text of the appeal:

Statement and Appeal to Members of the Kurdish Community in Scandinavian Countries

In fulfillment of our national and moral responsibilities, we address members of our Kurdish communities in Scandinavian countries, particularly young men and women, urging everyone to act responsibly and with awareness, comply with laws and regulations, and avoid being drawn into irresponsible slogans that could undermine public security and safety. We also call on everyone to stay away from all forms of violence and vandalism and refrain from damaging public or private property.

These countries have opened their doors to members of our people, providing them with protection, security, and the means to live with dignity, while guaranteeing their rights and freedoms in accordance with their laws and humanitarian values. Respecting these laws and safeguarding the security and property of host societies is a moral duty and a collective responsibility shared by all of us.

We emphasize that any individual unlawful conduct does not reflect the values and traditions of the Kurdish people, which are rooted in respect and peaceful coexistence. Nor does it represent our community, whose positive role in the societies where its members live is a source of pride.

Let us all set an exemplary standard by respecting the law, exercising freedom of expression responsibly, promoting coexistence and peace, and preserving the good reputation of our Kurdish communities.
