Trump: Iran Is Fabricating Fake Attacks in the Strait of Hormuz to Drive Up Oil Prices

U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran was doing everything possible to drive up oil prices ahead of the U.S. midterm elections by fabricating fake attacks, despite the volume of oil currently passing through the Strait of Hormuz exceeding the levels recorded even before the conflict began, according to his account.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “Iran continues to kill protesters and anyone who happens to get in its way. It is truly an evil regime, and I can only hope that the American people and the world recognize how evil it is! Some 75,000 protesters have been killed in less than seven months. It is astonishing that the world and the Democratic Party are indifferent to this.”
Trump concluded his post by stating that Iran could never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons and “never will.”
