Dr. Jagar Harki, a Kurdish scientist, academic researcher, and member of the Kurdistan Parliament, has been included for the third consecutive year in the global list of the top 2% of the world’s leading and most influential scientists in the field of energy, marking a significant scientific achievement for Kurdish academic talent.

According to Kurdistan24, Dr. Harki expressed pride at being selected for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026 in the prestigious global ranking, compiled annually by Stanford University in the United States in cooperation with Elsevier, based on data from the Scopus platform, which evaluates research impact.

Omar Harki said the recognition was not merely a personal success but the result of a long career that included publishing 91 peer-reviewed scientific papers and maintaining a commitment to energy-related issues and sustainable development.

The energy expert also expressed special thanks to the professors, colleagues, and students who had supported his career, emphasizing the importance of his scientific journey beginning in Kurdistan and extending to international academic forums.

He also delivered a motivational message to young people and researchers in Kurdistan, urging them to believe in their abilities and work to make a meaningful contribution to the global scientific community.

He said the achievement provided further motivation to assume greater responsibilities in serving society and advancing science.
