Another attack on the Peshmerga family in Jenderes
ARK News… After the martyrdom of four members of his family (Peshmerg) at the hands of the militants of the "Jaysh Al-Sharqiya", an armed group in the city of Jenderes, in the countryside of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, on Sunday, July 23, 2023, assaulted a member of the family.
The young man, Nazmi Ashraf Othman, was severely beaten by a masked group in his place of residence in Jenderes, and he was transferred to a hospital in the town of Atma, in the countryside of Idlib.
A source from the family said that his health condition is unstable because he was severely tortured and assaulted by hitting him with a piece of block on his back and being run over by a car, which led to paralysis in the movement of the hand, and he suffered severe physical and psychological damage.
In a heinous racist incident, the militants of the Jaysh Al Sharqiya fired live bullets at Kurdish civilians from the Peshmerg family in the city of Jenderes in the countryside of Afrin, on the night of the National Day of Newroz, March 20, 2023.
This came after Newroz fires were lit in front of their house in Jenderes, and live bullets were fired by the militants of the Eastern Army to commit a massacre in Jenderes, in which four innocent Kurdish civilians were killed.

Because of the massacre, it turned into massive and angry demonstrations demanding the removal of all armed factions from the cities, villages and towns in Afrin, and the handover of their administration to the indigenous Kurdish population.
On the second day, tens of thousands of residents of the Afrin region in Syrian Kurdistan, March 21, 2023, which coincides with the Kurdish New Year and the National Day of Newroz, mourned the bodies of the martyrs.
The mourners chanted at the funeral, which turned into massive protest demonstrations against the armed factions, calling for the removal of all armed men and an end to the bloodshed and the violations against the Kurds there.
The mourners raised banners, reading: Five years of oppression, injustice and demographic change, no to killing Korean civilians, the killers of the Jaysh Al Sharqiya Eastern Army must be held accountable and expelled from Afrin, we demand an end to the crimes and finding radical solutions for the region.
After the heinous crime, the headquarters of Barzani, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Presidency of the Parliament of Kurdistan, the Kurdish National Council in Syria, and Kurdish and Arab political parties and parties issued statements of denunciation and denunciation calling for justice and accountability for the perpetrators and killers and bringing them to justice and trial.
