ARK News… The appointment of the veterinarian, Darem Tabbaa, as Minister of Education in the government of Imad Khamis, which was approved by the President of the regime, Bashar al-Assad, on Sunday, sparked widespread ridicule on the communication sites between Syrians, due to the discrepancy between the scientific specialization and the position he occupied.

According to the Al-Eqtisadi website, the new minister holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine, specializing in cattle udder diseases. He held the position of dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Hama between 2005-2007 and worked as a professor in public health and preventive medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine in the same governorate.

According to the same source, Tabbaa is one of the controversial figures, as he held the position of Assistant Minister of Education during the past years at the end of the last year 2019, after five years he spent as Director of the National Center for Educational Curriculum Development.

On Sunday, the president of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad, issued a decree naming the ministers of the new government, headed by Hussein Arnous, who was charged with running its work previously after the dismissal of Imad Khamis.

The decree published by the regime’s official news agency "SANA" stipulated the nomination of 30 ministers in the new government, without changing the sovereign ministries.
