Barzani Charity Foundation Provides Aid to Displaced Families During Eid al-Adha

ARK News.. The President of the Barzani Charity Foundation announced during a press conference details of a large-scale humanitarian initiative dedicated to the days of Eid al-Adha, with a budget exceeding 945 million Iraqi dinars allocated to provide sacrificial meat and Eid clothing for underprivileged and displaced families.

Barzani Charity Foundation President Mousa Ahmad said on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, during the conference: “Due to the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement failing to provide sufficient and necessary support and assistance to camp residents, we at the foundation decided to intensify and deliver our aid based on field surveys and the direct daily needs of the residents.”

According to the figures presented by Mousa Ahmad, the humanitarian Eid project includes the following:

Securing 340 tons of sacrificial meat, with a full meat share allocated to each family, benefits 6,800 families.
Providing Eid supplies and clothing for more than 325 orphaned and needy children in an effort to bring joy and happiness to them during the holiday.

As a result, the total number of families benefiting from the foundation’s assistance during this Eid has reached 26,570 families, equivalent to 135,832 individuals, with a total budget of 945,985,000 Iraqi dinars allocated entirely to the project so far.

Mousa Ahmad also expressed hope for increased support and assistance for the Barzani Charity Foundation to enable it to provide more humanitarian services and aid to those in need. He concluded his remarks by extending his warmest Eid greetings and congratulations to the brave Peshmerga forces, the proud families of martyrs, displaced persons, refugees, and all the people of Kurdistan.
