Haitham Bakour: Water Situation Along the Euphrates River Currently Stable
ARK News.. Haitham Bakour, Director General of the Euphrates Dam General Establishment, confirmed that the water situation along the Euphrates River is currently stable, noting that the water discharge rate from the Qadiran Dam stands at approximately 1,800 cubic meters per second.
According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, Bakour stated that current indicators do not show any expected changes in discharge levels or water rise until next Sunday.
Bakour added that technical monitoring and supervision of water levels continue along the entire course of the river, while the foundation's staff remain at work in coordination with the relevant authorities and emergency teams, maintaining full technical readiness to deal with any potential developments and ensure the safety of water facilities and the optimal regulation of discharge operations.
The Director General of the Euphrates Dam General Establishment also urged residents to comply with instructions issued by the relevant authorities and avoid approaching the riverbed or areas close to the water flow.
