Donald Trump: I Am Not Concerned About the Consequences of the War with Iran
ARK News.. U.S. President Donald Trump said he is not concerned about the political consequences of a prolonged conflict with Iran and that he does not care about the upcoming midterm elections.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said: “They thought they could outlast me,” referring to the Iranian leadership. “They said, ‘We will outlast him. He has the midterm elections.’ I do not care about the midterm elections.”
Trump made the remarks during discussions on how to end the conflict. His apparent dismissal of midterm election pressures may heighten concerns among Republican allies who are already worried about previous statements downplaying the economic impact of the war on Americans.
