America: Russia continues to thwart the delivery of aid to millions of Syrians
ARK News… The United States of America said that “Russia’s claims that it is a major supporter to the Syrian people through humanitarian aid are blatantly false.”
In a post titled (It's Fact-Checking Friday!) on the Facebook platform, the US Embassy in Damascus explained that "Russia continues to thwart the delivery of humanitarian aid to millions of Syrians."
“In July 2023, Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution to renew the UN cross-border humanitarian assistance mechanism and provide greater food security to those in need,” it noted.
“The United States continues to support the delivery of assistance to those most in need, including through cross-border deliveries,” the embassy stated.
She stressed that "America remains the largest contributor to humanitarian aid to the Syrian people, having provided more than $17 billion in aid since the beginning of the conflict."

Ezra Zia: America is proud of its historic partnership with the Kurdistan Region

He was martyred under torture... 19 years after the kidnapping of Sheikh Muhammad Mashouq al-Khaznawi
ARK News… On this day 19 years ago, Sheikh Muhammad Mashouq Al-Khaznawi was kidnapped in Damascus by the Syrian regime, martyred under torture, and his body was dumped in Deir Ezzor Governorate.
Sheikh Muhammad Mashouq al-Khaznawi
He is Muhammad Mashouq, son of Sheikh Ezaddin al-Khaznawi, one of the most senior clerics in the region.
He was born in the village of Tal Ma’rouf in the city of Qamishlo in Syrian Kurdistan in 1958, a Kurdish national religious figure opposed to Baath rule in Syria, who left a tangible impact on Kurdish and Syrian society.
Educational attainment
Al-Khaznawi obtained his high school diploma in 1977, then headed to Damascus to study at an institute for Sharia sciences. He obtained a degree in Islamic sciences from Saudi Arabia and obtained a master’s degree in Islamic studies in 2001.
The 2004 uprising... Sheikh Mashouq opposed repressive policies After the March 2004 uprising in Syrian Kurdistan, Sheikh Muhammad Mashouq took upon himself the responsibility of awakening the Kurds through the sermons he delivered in mosques, in addition to seminars and lectures against the repressive policy that the Baathist regime was practicing against the Kurds.
Among the most powerful speeches delivered by the martyr sheikh were those delivered on Nowruz, and his fiery speech on the anniversary of the martyr of the uprising, Farhad Muhammad Ali, on April 8, 2005.
He knew that the Syrian regime was hatching a plot to assassinate him, and he would not give up or back down in demanding the rights of the Kurds.
Details of kidnapping and martyrdom
Because of his opposition to the Baathist regime, his demand for the rights of the Kurds, and his participation in the 2004 uprising that spread across the cities of Syrian Kurdistan, Sheikh Mashouq was kidnapped on May 10, 2005, by the Syrian regime’s intelligence services. According to several sources, while he was in prison, Maher al-Assad, the brother of Bashar al-Assad, head of the Syrian regime, supervised his torture.
His beard and eyebrows were plucked, his body was mutilated, and his body was cut into three parts.
His martyrdom was announced on June 1 of the same year, twenty days after his kidnapping, and when his family received his body, traces of brutal torture were clear.
When the news of the martyrdom of Sheikh Muhammad Mashouq al-Khaznawi spread, the Kurdish people responded to the call and more than a million Kurds gathered in the city of Qamishlo, where the martyr was buried in the Qaddour Bag cemetery and buried there.

Statement from the Kurdish National Council regarding cases of kidnapping by PYD militants
ARK News... The Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement regarding cases of kidnapping by PYD militants in cities and towns in Syrian Kurdistan.

In a new escalation step, militants of the Self-Administration of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) kidnapped:
- Majdal Dahham Haj Qasim, head of the Khinav folklore group in the city of Amouda, upon his return to his village of Karnago.
Saad Kawa Konrash (18 years old), a member of the Khinav band, upon his return from school.
Saleh Jamil Baggari (17 years old), member of the Khinav folklore group, upon his return from school.
PYD gunmen previously kidnapped a member of the Khinav band, the theater actor “Nasser Ghaleb Jaro,” on April 21, in addition to kidnapping four other members of the council more than two months ago, and their fate is still unknown.
The Kurdish National Council condemns in the strongest terms the campaign of arrests and intimidatory practices against members and supervisors of Kurdish folklore groups with the aim of intimidating them and preventing them from practicing their artistic and cultural activities in order to preserve the heritage and folklore of our people.
These violations come in light of the continued restrictions on living and political life in the Kurdish regions, where the region’s residents suffer from difficult economic conditions and the imposition of large royalties, in addition to repeatedly raising fuel prices, which has caused the prices of all materials and goods to rise and creates great difficulties and challenges for the remaining people. Our people search for ways to immigrate.
These violations also come at a time when our people are raising their voices loudly, calling on the Kurdish political parties to unify their position to confront the dangers facing the region, as well as against international efforts in this regard. The continuation of these violations only serves the enemies of the Kurdish people, and their purpose is to block the way to any efforts to unify the Kurdish position.
The Kurdish National Council calls for the immediate release of those arrested from the Khinav Folklore Band and all detainees of the Kurdish National Council, and calls on all human rights and humanitarian organizations and coalition countries, most notably the United States, to exert serious pressure on the “SDF” to stop these violations and restrain the hand of the PYD militants and its security agencies on the necks and pens of our people.

أكد مسؤول أمريكي أن بلاده لم تغير سياستها في الملف السوري, لا يوجد أي شيء جديد بهذا الخصوص ليتم الإعلان عنه.
خلال لقاء على شاشة تلفزيون سوريا قال سامويل وربيرغ المتحدث الإقليمي باسم وزارة الخارجية الأميركية إنّ بلاده لم تغير سياستها في الملف السوري، كما أنها تركز على أولوياتها بهذا الخصوص، بما في ذلك عدم التطبيع مع النظام السوري.
وأضاف وربيرغ أن الملف السوري ما زال مهماً، والخارجية الأمريكية لا تعلق عادة على ما يتعلق باعتماد القوانين داخل الكونغرس الأميركي، وذلك بعد الحديث عن جهود بذلتها إدارة الرئيس جو بايدن لعرقلة قانون مكافحة التطبيع مع النظام السوري.

جدد أبناء السويداء مطالبتهم بتغيير النظام السياسي وإسقاط النظام السوري, ورحيل بشار الأسد عن السلطة.
نظّم اليوم الجمعة ( 10/5/2024 ) مئات السكان في محافظة السويداء جنوبي سوريا، مظاهرة وسط المدينة، دعت إلى الحرية, والتغيير السياسي وإسقاط النظام السوري.
ودعا المحتجون إلى تطبيق القرارات الأممية المتعلقة بالحل السياسي في سوريا، بما في ذلك قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2254.

وأضافت السفارة: "تواصل روسيا إحباط إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية لملايين السوريين، وفي تموز 2023، استخدمت حق النقض ضد قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة لتجديد آلية المساعدة الإنسانية التابعة للأمم المتحدة عبر الحدود وتوفير قدر أكبر من الأمن الغذائي للمحتاجين".
