Israeli bombing targets sites around Damascus
ARK News… Local sources, May 9, 2024 reported hearing explosions early this Thursday, May9th, from Israeli airstrikes targeting sites in the outskirts of Damascus.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated, "Israeli airstrikes hit early today the cultural Centre affiliated with the Iraqi al-Nujabaa Movement, loyal to Iran, in the Sayyida Zeinab area south of the capital Damascus, as well as a training camp belonging to the movement."
It added, "Explosions were heard in the Kiswa area, coinciding with the launch of Syrian regime air Defence missiles attempting to intercept the Israeli missiles without being able to thwart the attack. Ambulances headed towards the targeted areas, with reports of human casualties."
Highlighting that "Israeli targeting of militias is the third during the current month of May."
Meanwhile, the Syrian regime's news agency SANA reported that Israel targeted a building in the Damascus countryside from the direction of the Golan Heights, "and the regime's air defence intercepted and downed some of the missiles."
Since the beginning of 2024, the Syrian Observatory has counted 38 instances of Israel targeting Syrian territory, 26 of which were airstrikes and 12 ground attacks.
These strikes resulted in the injury and destruction of approximately 75 targets, including warehouses for weapons and ammunition, headquarters, centers, and vehicles."

The International Coalition sends military reinforcements to the Kharab al-Jir base in Syrian Kurdistan
ARK News… As part of strengthening its bases in Syria, the International Coalition forces, on May 09, 2024, have deployed a military cargo plane to one of its bases in Syrian Kurdistan.
Local sources from the area reported that the International Coalition forces brought in a military cargo plane carrying military equipment and logistical supplies to their base in Kharab al-Jir, south of Rmelan in Syrian Kurdistan, on Wednesday, 8/5/2024.
On April 24th, a military cargo plane belonging to the US forces landed at the Kharab al-Jir base south of Rmelan, loaded with military equipment and logistical materials."

قال المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان إنه "سمع دوي انفجارات عنيفة فجر اليوم ناجمة عن استهداف غارات جوية إسرائيلية طالت المركز الثقافي التابع لحركة النجباء العراقية الموالية لإيران في منطقة السيدة زينب جنوبي العاصمة دمشق، ومعسكرا للتدريب تابع للحركة أيضا"ً.
ووفق المرصد السوري، فإن هذا الاستهداف هو الثالث منذ مطلع أيار الجاري.
من جانبها نقلت و كالة أنباء النظام "سانا" عن مصدر عسكري قوله، إن الدفاعات الجوية أسقطت فجر اليوم صواريخ إسرائيلية تم إطلاقها من هضبة الجولان باتجاه ريف دمشق وأدى القصف لوقوع بعض الخسائر المادية.

قالت مصادر محلية من المنطقة إن قوات التحالف الدولي استقدمت يوم أمس الاربعاء ( 8/5/2024 )، طائرة شحن تحمل معدات عسكرية ولوجستية ، لقاعدتها في خراب الجير جنوبي الرميلان بكوردستان سوريا.
وفي 24 نيسان الفائت هبطت طائرة شحن عسكرية تابعة للقوات الأمريكية في قاعدة خراب الجير جنوبي الرميلان ، محملة بمعدات عسكرية ومواد لوجستية.

"Our peaceful protests is our path to salvation" ... Daraa protesters confirm the continuation of popular movement against the regime

إن الاستحقاق القومي والوطني يعبر عن الشعور بالانتماء إلى الأرض والتاريخ واللغة و التراث الذي وجد من خلاله الشعب الكردي في سورية نفسه في خضم الصراع على تنفيذ الاجندات التي ساقتها كافة الأنظمة التي تعاقبت على احتلال المنطقة تحت مسميات الاستعمار أو الاحتلال في إجراءات تعسفية متمثلة بمحاولات إلغاء الهوية الوطنية القومية وإضعاف الانتماء القومي ,ولكن بعكس ذلك تماماً عمل الشعب الكردي في سورية على تعزيز قيم التعايش السلمي والإيمان بوحدة المصير المشترك في ظل جغرافية وفضاء مليء بقيم المحبة والأخوة ونبذ الفرقة والتميز, والتي حاولت دوماً تلك الانظمة والديكتاتوريات على فرضها بحق المكونات في سورية عموماً والشعب الكردي على وجه الخصوص.
لعل السؤال الذي يراود مخيلة القارئ الكريم هل استطاعت تلك الانظمة وبكل أدواتها وسياستها وخططها الممنهجة أن تركع وتثني الشعب الكردي في سورية عن النضال من أجل استحقاقاته القومية والوطنية ومشاركة باقي المكونات السورية النضال من أجل الحرية ومحاربة الديكتاتورية, وهل استطاعت تلك الأنظمة قتل ومحو روح الانتماء للقومية واللغة والتاريخ.
بكل بساطة تؤكد المراحل النضالية التي مر بها الكرد في سورية حقيقة واضحة وجلية الا وهي نضاله الدؤوب من أجل التشبث بهويتهم القومية الوطنية في سبيل مواجهة تلك الخطط والاستراتيجيات الدولية والإقليمية والمحلية من أجل صهرهم تحت مسميات العروبية والدين والمعتقد والوطن الواحد ,وأعداد التهم الجاهزة في أثارة النعرات الطائفية ومحاولة استقطاع اراضي من الوطن وأنقاص هيبة الدولية وخلق الفتن بين المكونات من أجل تفرد تلك الانظمة بالسلطة وبسط سيطرتها على إدارة الحكم.
إن مشاركة الكرد باقي المكونات النضال ضد الاستعمار الفرنسي وبطولة وزير الحربية الكردي في معركة ميسلون يوسف العظمة وثورة ابراهيم هنانو والبطل سليمان الحلبي ومعركة بيناندور وقتل الجنرال روغان والكثير من البطولات الاخرى ,وكذلك مشاركة الكرد في تأسيس الدولة السورية الحديثة من خلال تولي مناصب في رئاسة الوزراء والبرلمان وكتابة دستور سورية الحديثة كلها محطات يمكن بكل الفخر التأكيد على حقيقة وهي بأن الشعب الكردي في سورية لم يتخلى ولم يرضخ لكافة المخططات في ثنيه عن التخلي عن هويته الوطنية في النضال ضد الديكتاتورية, والتطلع الى الحرية ضمن سورية موحدة لكل مكون الحق في الحفاظ على خصوصيته القومية والنضال والتمسك بحقوقه كافة وتغير الصورة التي كانت الانظمة تحاول صبغها عن الكرد بأنه غير مؤمن بالتعايش السلمي وشعب انفصالي رجعي لا يقبل التعايش والتكيف وبعيد كل البعد عن مقومات الحضارة وتغلب عليه النزعة القبلية.
لا يمكن حقيقة تأثر الشعب الكردي في سورية بالتأثير والنزعة القومية من خلال محاربة الظلم والتطلع نحو الحرية والنضال من أجل الحقوق القومية من خلال تأثره بنضال البارزاني الخالد في الجزء الجنوبي من كوردستان الأمر الذي استدعى من الكرد في سورية في زيادة التمسك بشعورهم للانتماء القومي في المشاركة بالنضال المتمثلة بمشاركة نضال ثورات أيلول وكولان في تلبية نداء الواجب القومي, وكذلك لا تخفى مقاومة الشعب الكردي سورية السباق عن المكونات السورية الأخرى لكافة المخططات والاجراءات التعسفية لنظام البعث المتمثل بالإصلاح الزراعي ومصادرة الأراضي في المناطق الكردية وقانون تجريد الجنسية والحزام العربي والقانون 49 وغيرها من الإجراءات التعسفية التي قوبلت بالرفض الكردي من خلال التمسك بالانتماء القومي عبر احياء المناسبات القومية الكردية والتمسك بها رغم المضايقات والمعاملة الاستخباراتية الشديدة وتمجيد تلك المناسبات ولاسيما أحياء ميلاد ووفاة البارزاني الخالد ,وكذلك مشاركة الكرد في دعم انتفاضة التحرير في كوردستان العراق, وكذلك مشاركة الكرد في الأزمة السورية عبر الاصطفاف الى جانب الشعب السوري في التعبير عن الهوية الوطنية متمثلة في مقاومة الظلم والمطالبة بالحرية عبر المشاركة في المظاهرات وممارسة العمل الدبلوماسي مع أطياف الشعب السوري في المعارضة والتمثيل الدبلوماسي وعرض الحقوق الكردية على كافة المنابر صناعة القرار العالمي، والتأكيد على المشاركة في ضمان حقوق الشعب الكردي وتثبيتها في الدستور السوري الجديد عبر ضمانات دولية وبرعاية أممية رغم المحاولات من بعض الاطراف المحسوبة على الكرد لإعادة الكرد الى المعارضة الداخلية المحسوبة على النظام السوري ,وفرض قوالب شكلية في استغلال المطالب الكردية تلك القوالب بالتأكيد تصب في خانة إرجاع الكرد الى حالة ما قبل الأزمة السورية في فرض حالة الاستسلام والخضوع عبر التوهم في محاولة أستغلال عاطفة الشعب الكردي والاستخفاف بحبه وتمسكه بثقافته.
في المحصلة ,يمكن القول بأن كافة المحاولات لإدخال الشعب الكردي في سورية في صراع على حساب استحقاقاته القومية والوطنية في الصراعات المتمثلة في محاولات إلغاء الهوية الوطنية القومية واضعاف الانتماء قوبلت بالتشبث بالأرض واللغة والهوية والثقافة ،ولتعيد التأكيد على حقيقة التمسك بالنضال المستمد والمتأثر بالنزعة القومية لنهج البارزاني الخالد كوسيلة للدفاع عن المكتسبات وعدم التفريط والتنازل عن الحقوق والمكتسبات القومية والوطنية التي كفلتها كافة المواثيق والشرائع الدولية ولاسيما تقرير المصير.

More than 10,000 Syrian refugees were granted German citizenship in the state of Bavaria during the year 2023
ARK News… According to the German newspaper Magazine, on Monday, May6th, the number of Syrian refugees who obtained German citizenship reached 10,235 out of more than 36,000, placing them at the top of the list of naturalized citizens in the state.
The newspaper mentioned that the number of Syrians naturalized in the state has significantly increased since the influx of refugees to Germany in 2015, with only 160 Syrians being naturalized in Bavaria in 2018.
Additionally, the German newspaper reported that 24% of those naturalized were under the age of 18, while only 2% were over the age of 60.
Bavaria's Interior Minister, Joachim Herrmann, stated at a naturalization ceremony for many new citizens at the end of April last year that they expect a new record number of naturalization processes by the end of this year.
The minister considered the naturalization of immigrants as an important step towards integration in Germany, granting them the rights of German citizens.
As of the end of 2023, approximately 972,000 Syrian refugees were living in Germany, with over 20,000 asylum applications submitted in Germany by the end of last March, according to statistics from the Statista platform specializing in data collection and analysis.

Reducing health coverage for Syrian refugees in Lebanon by half
ARK News… The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees informed the Lebanese Ministry of Health of reducing health care coverage provided to refugees, especially Syrians, in Lebanon, by half.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees had informed it of the decision to reduce the health care coverage it had previously provided to refugees in Lebanon, especially Syrian refugees registered on its lists, by half. The ministry explained that a delegation from the Commission, headed by its representative in Lebanon, Ivo Friesen, informed the caretaker Minister of Health, Firas al-Abyadg, of the decision.

Politicians and leaders of Syrian Kurdistan confirm the illegitimacy of the municipal council elections administered by the PYD
ARK News… While the PYD administration claims to hold fair and joint elections for the “presidency of municipal councils” in the areas under its control, several days ago it held elections for the “joint mayorships” paving the way for elections for the presidency of municipal councils, and in which it monopolized the positions for its members without the participation of the parties under its umbrella.
Regarding the elections for the presidency of the municipal councils of the PYD administration, Muhammad Saleh Shallal, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, said: “The decision on the PYD elections is unilateral, and will be held under the control of an illegitimate authority affiliated with the Democratic Union Party (PYD), and we must look at this part as a matter of agreement.” What happened between the Kurdish National Council in Syria and the Kurdish National Unity Parties under American sponsorship during the talks that took place between the two parties, and it was agreed at that time on a true partnership between the two sides until the appropriate ground was created for holding transparent democratic elections under international supervision.”
The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria added: “Because of what was mentioned, we in the Kurdistan National Council and the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria are not concerned with the municipal council presidency elections scheduled to be held by the PYD administration at the end of this month
For his part, Fadi Mir’i, head of the public relations office of the Kurdish Future Movement in Syria, said in a special statement that the issue of elections was one of the main points that the Kurdish National Council in Syria did not agree on with the National Unity Parties, in addition to some other points that caused the cessation of the Kurdish-Kurdish negotiations nearly two years ago.”

For his part, Jadaan Ali, head of the Kurdistan Region’s representation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, confirmed that the PYD administration elections are illegitimate, and their results will not be in the service and interest of the people of the region in general, and the Kurdish people in particular, since the PYD administration does not represent the Kurds and does not have any Kurdish character.
Jadaan Ali added: The PYD administration is unique in its decisions and implements its agendas in the region, and the Kurdish National Council is not a party to these elections. If these elections were held at another stage and circumstances and under the supervision of a guarantor party such as “America,” after consultation and political agreements, then it can be said that these elections It will be in the interest of all the people of the region.
The head of the Kurdistan Region’s representation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria said that as a result of the policies of the PYD administration, the region was exposed to devastation and scourges, especially the Kurdish regions, “displacement, demographic change, destruction of infrastructure, crushing of families and society, plundering of the region’s resources, killing, kidnapping of minors.” And what are these elections? Only part of that policy.
Before the elections were held, the PYD administration announced new administrative divisions in the areas under its control, which include 7 provinces, including 6 large cities, 40 small cities, and 105 towns. The provinces are: Al-Jazira - Deir Ez-Zour - Raqqa - Tabqa - Euphrates (Kobani). - Manbij - Afrin and al-Shahba
