The departure of a Kurdish academic from Afrin in Turkey

ARK News: A Kurdish academic from the Kurdish region of Afrin has lost his life after a conflict with the disease in a Turkish hospital.

Zohair Ali, a close relative of the late reported to ARK Media Foundation that Dr. Kamal Khalil lost his life on Thursday 28 February 2019 in a hospital in the city of Dilok in the province of Aintab, Turkey, after a conflict with the disease (stroke), which was injured before a period

Ali added saying that "Dr. Kamal Khalil Osman was an earth science specialist and geologist was an expert familiar with the geology of the region in general and Afrin in particular and wealth esoteric, and he supervised many of the exploration projects and served as director of mineral wealth in Aleppo and the northern region, where he suffered a period of stroke and cerebral hemorrhage and his condition improved later but reverted to lose his life yesterday.”


Zohair Ali also pointed out saying: "Dr. Kamal Osman Khalil studied geology in Austria and has a lot of geological studies and oversaw the projects of exploration for mineral wealth in Syria and the northern region and in the Afrin region of Kurdistan, Syria in particular, and in his departure, Afrin lost yesterday a stature and scientific storage and scientific wealth.”

The engineer Dr. Kamal Osman Khalil, who is from Maariste village in Afrin, died yesterday in Turkey at the age of 80 years, and it is due to be buried in his hometown in his village of Maariste in Afrin.
