ARK News… On Friday, November 5, 2021, coincided with the twenty-second anniversary of the departure of the Kurdish artist, Adnan Dilbirin, from the Afrin region in Syrian Kurdistan.

The artist Adnan Dilbirin is considered one of the well-known artists in the Afrin region and the regions of Syrian Kurdistan, and his voice and echo and his influence on Kurdish art is no less than the influence of the giants from the “Çiyayê Kurmênc” region, Jamil Horo, Bavê Salah and Muhammad Ali Tijo.

The artist, Adnan Dilbirin, was born in 1956 in the village of Dersiwan of Shara town in the Afrin region, from a poor family. He spent his childhood in the village and was attached to art, singing and singing since his childhood and was able to write a good number of poems to turn them into songs that many great artists are now proud of.

He joined the compulsory service and served in the city of Qamishlo. He got married in 1979 after he was discharged from military service. Due to the lack of opportunities to work in the village, he was forced to go to Aleppo in 1980, and from here his artistic career began, especially after he turned his home into a place for training before starting the official recording in the studios.

The artist Adnan Debrecen revived many folkloric songs such as Zêneb, Eyşa Îbê, and Lorî Lorî. He also sang some national songs, participated in many popular concerts, and recorded 8 cassettes.

He has many songs that have become circulated among Kurdish artists, especially the song “Efrîn Hatû”, which became a chant and sung by many artists after its update, in addition to national songs such as Her bijî Diyar Bekir and Nawroz 21ê Adarê and many romantic songs about love and adoration as Sawda Sewda Sawda, Lê Qederê and many songs about rural nature.

At the official invitation of the Kurdish expatriates in 1999, he traveled to Germany and held several concerts there. He stayed for a whole month. After his return, he received another invitation to hold a special concert on the occasion of New Year's Day in Greece, but he was not lucky and passed away before that.

The late Adnan Dilbirin was exposed to a traffic accident on Aleppo Road while leaving a party he held in Kafr Jinnah in Afrin, accompanied by his son Shero and his brother on 4/11/1999, and the accident led to his death.

Tens of thousands of his fans in Afrin and Aleppo participated in his burial ceremony in his village, Dersiwan, in the Shara town of Afrin.

Until now, the great Kurdish artists are still proud of their art and works and what they offer to Kurdish art, and they sing his songs, such as artists Khairo Abbas Betojan Fatte Allin Hikmat Jamil and many other artists.
