Twenty years since the departure of the artist Adnan Dilbirin

ARK News: Today, November 4, 2019, marks the 20th anniversary of the departure of Kurdish artist Adnan Dilbirin, who hails from the Kurdish region of Afrin.

A brief summary bout the artist's life:

The artist Adnan Dilbirin is one of the well-known artists in the region of Afrin and the regions of Syrian Kurdistan, his voice and echoes and his impact on Kurdish art is no less than the influence of the giants of sons of “Çiyayê Kurmênc” ( Kurds Mountain) as Jamil Horo and “Bavê” Salah and Muhammad Ali Tijo.

The artist Adnan Dilbirin was born in 1956 in the village of Dersiwan of Shara tow in the Afrin region from a poor family. He spent his childhood in the village and attached to art, music and singing from a young age and was able to write a good number of tracks in which poetic converts to the songs now flaunted by many great artists.

He married in 1979 after being released from military service. Because of the lack of opportunities to work in the village he had to go to Aleppo 1980 and hence began his artistic career, especially after turning his home to a training place before starting the official recording in the studios.

The artist Adnan Dilbirin performed many folk songs, he also sang some national songs and a lot of romance and participated in many popular concerts and recorded 8 cassettes.

\At the invitation of the Kurdish expatriates in 1999 he traveled to Germany and held several concerts there and stayed for a month.

On the anniversary of the departure of the artist Adnan Dilbirin and on behalf of Afrin Armang Band, Khalil Armang Afrin told the ARK Media Foundation, "The art and performance of Adnan Dilbirin are not less than the art of Afrin artists such as Jamil Horo, Bavê Salah, Nori Sheikho Abu Masoud, Mohammad Ali Tijo, Omer Jamlo, Rashid Ham Gulin, Abu Ali Iska and Haj Nazi and others. "

The late Adnan Dilbirin was subjected to a traffic accident on Aleppo road as he was leaving a party that he had held in Kafarjanna in Afrin with his son Shero and brother on 4/11/1999, the accident led to his death.

Tens of thousands of his lovers in Afrin and Aleppo participated in his burial in his village of Dersiwan of Shara town in the Afrin region.
