Barzani Headquarters: The “MERI” Forum Has Absolutely Nothing to Do with Us and Failed to Uphold Political Pluralism This Year
ARK News.. Regarding the 2026 Miri Forum held in Erbil, it is regrettable that this year the forum failed to uphold political pluralism and appropriately involve political parties from other parts of Kurdistan, particularly with regard to inviting participating guests and organizing dialogue sessions.
At a forum of such importance, the cause of the Kurdish people in other parts of Kurdistan should have been represented through the participation of all parties.
This approach has caused resentment among the authentic and struggling parties in other parts of Kurdistan and is likely to deepen divisions and fragmentation among the people of Kurdistan.
We would also like to draw everyone’s attention to the fact that the “MERI” Forum has absolutely no connection to us.
