ARK News.. A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin reported on its main page of Facebook, on 27.03.2020, that in light of the chaos, security chaos and corruption prevailing in the Kurdish region of Afrin and its towns and villages as a result of the policy targeted by the Turkish government and its military forces accompanying the militias loyal to it, they are still continuing to create an atmosphere of intimidation and kidnapping of civilians in order to collect ransom among the indigenous population of the region from the sons of Kurdish people.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said its report that "the citizen, Rif’at Yassin Khalil, lost his life on Thursday March 26/2020, as a result of the injustice and oppression that was caused by the seizure of his house by the faction of Sultan Murad, led by the so-called Araba Idris, who controlled the village of Barava and forcibly displaced him to live in the center of Shara township for rent."

The organization added: "Despite his demand of his home by the intervention of clan elders and to submit complaints with the civil and military police and Turkish forces, they did not fulfill his request because the so-called Araba Idris was a relative of the Minister of Defense in the Syrian Provisional Government, Major General Salim Idris."

Activists confirmed that while the world is preoccupied with a pandemic threatening humanity, the factions are still preoccupied with their crimes against the Kurds, including killing, arresting, kidnapping, and seizing property and livelihoods.
