To cover up the amnesty for ISIS.. Mazloum Kobani addresses the resumption of Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue
ARK News.. Coinciding with the amnesty of the PYD administration, which included hundreds of ISIS members, and excluded the kidnappers of the Kurdish National Council, and to relieve the pressure of the Kurdish street, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces spoke of the possibility of resuming the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue within a short period of time.
During an interview with the Hawar Agency affiliated with the PYD administration, Mazloum Kobani said today, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, that the Kurdish National Unity Parties and the Kurdish National Council in Syria have reached a common point of view, and it is very possible that the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue will resume next August.
Mazloum Kobani added that the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue stopped at a time when some issues remained outstanding between the two parties, such as (how to participate in administration and elections), and there were several reasons for stopping the dialogue, without addressing them.
He stressed that work to resume the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue is required of the Syrian Democratic Forces, America, Britain, and France.
In a previous statement to ARK News website (May 17, 2024), Faisal Youssef, the official spokesman for the Kurdish National Council in Syria, said: “The United States of America always expresses its intention to resume the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue after it stopped since the end of 2020,” and confirms its support for stability and stopping the tensions that "It increases congestion."
He pointed out that there are no direct communications between the two sides of the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue, and the other side of the Kurdish dialogue is working to create an atmosphere of mistrust and the absence of the appropriate environment for returning to the negotiating table, which America calls for in all meetings with them, in order to support stability.
Mazloum Kobani’s statement about the resumption of Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue comes at a time when the PYD administration’s amnesty, which was issued on July 17, 2024, included (1,512) prisoners, including 60 women, the majority of whom were ISIS members, which created a state of popular discontent among the Kurdish masses, especially since the amnesty PYD administration: 19 kidnapped members of the Kurdish National Council in Syria were not included in PYD administration prisons.
