US patrols in Kurdistan Syria near the international border with Turkey
ARK News: US forces patrolled in Kurdistan, Syria north-east of Syria on Sunday near the international border with Turkey, a spokesman for the International Alliance led by Washington said, in a step that comes days after exposing the region of bombardment launched by Ankara.
The border area, which is under the controlled of Syrian Democratic Forces DSF of US-packed, is witnessed a growing tension after Ankara threatened to launch an attack on it and targeting the positions of the Popular Protection Units YPG of the Democratic Union Party PYD, the backbone of the DSF.
Local sources reported to ARK News that in the border of Dirbasiya city with Turkey in the far province of Hasakah, a patrol of three armored vehicles was seen, each with four American soldiers in their uniforms and on vehicles the American flag.
In the same context, the spokesman of the International Alliance, Sean Ryan, told the French press that the American patrols in the region are” irregular” which are linked to the development of the “field circumstances”, pointing that it is the second patrol to be conducted in the region since Friday, according to the same source.
The patrols are scheduled to run along the border to Ras al-Ain / Sari Kaniye, 50 kilometers west of Dirbasiya, according to the AFP.
During the last week, the Turkish shelling of the cities of Kobani and Gire Spi / Tal al-Abyad caused the loss of four fighters for their lives, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, and Democratic Syrian Forces also suspended their military operations "temporary" against the terrorist organization of Da’esh in Deir Al-Zour.
