SDF announces its withdrawal in accordance with the Sochi Agreement

ARK News: The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement on Saturday, October 26, 2019, saying it agreed to implement the terms of the Russian agreement and withdrew away from the Turkish border with Kurdistan Syria.

Statement text:

After extensive discussions with the Russian Federation on our previous reservations, we agreed to implement its initiative to stop the Turkish aggression on northern and eastern Syria, which was based on the Sochi Agreement of 22 October 2019. The SDF is redeploying to new locations far from the Turkish-Syrian border, in order to inject blood and spare the population of the region the Turkish war machine. While the border guards of the central government to deploy along the Syrian-Turkish border with the sovereign state.

We at the SDF, while assuring the public of our full commitment to defending the peoples and gains of the region, call on the Russian Federation to implement its commitments and ensure a constructive dialogue between the self-administration and the central government in Damascus.
