ARK News... Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersen, on Monday, pledged during a visit to Kyiv and its suburbs, to increase European support for Ukraine and impose additional sanctions on Moscow, whose army is advancing in the east of this country, according to France Press Agency.

"We should not allow Russia to reap benefits from violating international law and other basic principles," Andersen said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"The best way to win this war is to increase support for Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia through more sanctions," she added.

The Swedish Prime Minister stressed that "our efforts should continue as long as there is a need," stressing that Ukraine defends "our common European values."

After inspecting cities on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital destroyed in battles during the first weeks of the Russian invasion, the Swedish prime minister said she had seen "streets and squares where family homes had been dug up" and where "horrific crimes had been committed".

"I condemn the absurd and brutal Russian aggression and the killing of civilians, including many children," she added, pledging that her country would participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine in the future.

For his part, Zelensky renewed the call to "do everything possible to bring to justice all Russian war criminals."

Referring to the global food crisis caused by his country's inability to export about 22 million tons of grain suspended due to the war in a number of its ports, Zelensky said that discussions are underway with Turkey and the United Nations to secure a safe exit for these goods.

Accusing Russia of stealing Ukrainian grain, Zelensky stressed that "it is important that someone can guarantee the safety of foreign ships" that are supposed to arrive in Ukraine to transport these agricultural products.

He added that his country expects to harvest about 60 million tons of grain in the Autumn.
