Turkey is working to open a crossing road between it and Afrin region

ARK News: The Turkish government is working to open a border crossing road between Kurdish Afrin region (Jenderes - the village of Hamame) and Turkey for using it in the trade exchange and other materials.

A special source said to ARK News that "the Turkish government since the occupation of Afrin working to open a crossing road between them and Afrin region, but the process of opening the border and crossing road cost civilians to cut thousands of olive trees, stressing that the Turkish government has not provided compensation to those affected by civilians yet, which included the road (crossing) their agricultural land.

For his part, an activist from Afrin city confirmed that the crossing would be a source of good for the civilians, thereby it will facilitate the trade exchange, especially in the olive season and other seasons, after the farmers were subjected to severe damages as a result of non-export of products outside Afrin region as pomegranate, walnuts, citrus fruits and grapes, and so on where farmers were forced to sell their products within the area of Afrin and they sold them at the lowest prices compared to expenses and high prices.

The crossing road, which Turkey is working on it to open, is due to be announced in the coming days between Afrin region and Turkey's Iskenderun Liwaa.
