Netanyahu Rejects U.S. Calls for Israeli Withdrawal from Syria
ARK News.. News.. As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to travel to Washington for talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, Israeli media reported that he has firmly rejected U.S. demands for Israel to withdraw from Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
According to Israel's Channel 13, Netanyahu intends to use the upcoming visit to coordinate positions on several key regional issues, including the West Bank, Turkey, and the ongoing military fronts.
Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Netanyahu's primary objective is to persuade Trump of the need to expand the confrontation with Iran.
In a related development, Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Tehran, saying Israel would respond with "overwhelming force" to any attack carried out either directly by Iran or through its proxies.
He also said that ending the conflict with Iran would require either the collapse of the Iranian regime or its weakening to the point that its nuclear program is dismantled, adding that his position is aligned with President Trump's approach on the issue.
