Katz: Israel Wants to Strike Iranian Energy Facilities

ARK News.. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel is seeking to target Iran's energy facilities but asserted that the current U.S. position is preventing Israel from carrying out such strikes.

Speaking on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Katz said Tel Aviv has a strong desire to attack Iranian energy infrastructure, but that the United States is preventing it from doing so.

His remarks come ahead of a scheduled meeting later on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as security and military tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East.
