A Kurdish young woman who is ranked as the most powerful woman in Mexico

ARK News: Forbes magazine has listed young Kurdish woman Hanaa Al Jaaf as one of the 100 women in Mexico, and she is the most powerful woman in Mexico in 2019.

Hanaa Al-Jaaf, an activist in the field of support for migrants and refugees, and was present in Iraqi refugee camps, in addition to her work in the political field, where it reached important positions in the Mexican government.

Hanaa was born in San Diego, California in 1986, from a Kurdish father from the Kurdish al-Jaaf tribe of Kalar in the province of Sulaimaniyah in Kurdistan region, and a Mexican mother with American and Mexican citizenship.

She spent much of her childhood in Tijuana, Mexico, home to her mother's family.

Both stages helped her gaining both US and Mexican citizenship, where she worked in politics and managed to reach senior positions in the Mexican government.

She was selected as the most powerful woman in Mexico in 2019, in a country with a population of more than 130 million, according to Mexico Forbes Magazine this year among the top 100 women in Mexico.
