ARK News.. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said that Lebanon is determined to end the state of hostility with Israel, stressing that resolving disputes through military force “does not and will not work.”

Aoun made the remarks during his official visit to Greece, where he met with Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas.

“We reached, under U.S. sponsorship, the signing of the framework agreement, but the agreement cannot be implemented by one side alone. It must be implemented by both sides, and it must be implemented in full, not selectively,” Aoun said.

The Lebanese president stressed: “We are advocates of peace and are determined to end the state of hostility with Israel and establish the best possible relations with our neighbors.”

He added that the talks between Lebanon and Israel would help Lebanon achieve greater independence and prosperity, as well as contribute to the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Aoun also emphasized that resolving disputes through military force “does not and will not work.”

“Lebanon has lived through the tragedies of wars, and it is time for the country to have some peace. The best solution to the problems we face is diplomacy,” he said.
