Dilshad Shahab: Nechirvan Barzani Stressed That Syria’s Stability Depends on Ensuring the Rights of All Its Components
ARK News.. The spokesperson for the Kurdistan Region Presidency said that Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani stressed that Syria’s stability depends on ensuring and protecting the rights of all Syrian components without exception.
Dilshad Shahab, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Region Presidency, said in a press statement on Saturday, August 29, 2026, that during Nechirvan Barzani’s visit to Damascus and his meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, the Kurdistan Region president emphasized that Syria’s stability and the success of its political process depend on guaranteeing and protecting the rights of all Syrian components without exception.
Shahab added that the Syrian side, in turn, expressed its full readiness and willingness to guarantee and constitutionally enshrine the rights of the Kurds.
