The ENKS condemns the "criminal acts of mercenaries" in the eastern Euphrates
ARK News: Since the 9th of October, our Kurdish people and all the other components have been living through the horrors of a terrible humanitarian catastrophe caused by the Turkish military attack on the Kurdish areas of eastern Euphrates, this attack, which claimed hundreds of civilian lives between a martyr and a wounded, caused the displacement of hundreds of thousands from their homes in the area of military operations between Sari Kaniye (Ras al-Ayn) and Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) and other areas, in defiance of the broadest condemnation of world public opinion and appeals from the international community of cessation of military operations and their disastrous consequences.
This attack, which followed the sudden decision of the US President to withdraw his troops from the region without lending to the complex situation and serious dangers, it also ignored his sponsorship of the political process damaged by this and the global reaction to it, adding to the horror of the disaster are the actions of the mercenaries of the armed groups brought by the Turkish forces against innocent citizens, as they did in Afrin, from the field executions and looting operations under the slogans of jihad and racist hatred without deterrence, today, they enter the city of Sari Kaniye, a city of history and peace for the blood of Syrians.
The Kurdish National Council in Syrian ENKS condemns in the strongest terms these criminal acts and the perpetrators, calls for their removal and calls for their trial before an international court, while welcoming the ceasefire, the Council appeals to the international community and the United Nations to stabilize and sustain it and to end the military actions and reject the threat of extending them to other Kurdish areas, allowing dialogue and search for constructive political solutions that preserve the safety of Syria and its people.
The National Council also calls upon international community to reject and condemn any action aimed at demographic change, to expedite the provision of aids and assistance to the displaced and to provide a safe return to their homes quickly; and hand over the administration of the region to its people of all components and under international supervision and at the same time, the Council appeals to the people of the region in all its national, social and religious components to unite, to solidarity and to preserve civil and community peace and stand together to overcome the ordeal, that it calls on the PYD to take the interest of the Kurdish people on any other consideration and to remove the PKK conflict with Turkey from the arena of Syrian Kurdistan and return to the national and nationalism option to preserve the security of our people and achieve their national rights within the framework of the unity of the country.
