Kurdistan Region President Thanks Germany for Its Support

ARK News.. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received Qassim Tahir Saleh, a member of the German Bundestag from the Green Party, in Erbil on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

During the meeting, President Nechirvan Barzani highly appreciated Germany’s support for the Kurdistan Region during difficult periods, particularly during the war against terrorism, as well as its efforts to shelter and assist Yazidi refugees.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to further strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Germany across various fields.
