Baniyas Port Handles Millions of Tons of Petroleum Products
ARK News.. Baniyas Port in Syria's Tartous Governorate has recorded significant activity since the beginning of this year, according to Syrian state media.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the General Authority for Land and Sea Ports announced that Baniyas Port has received 108 tankers carrying approximately 3.23 million metric tons of various petroleum products since the start of the year.
The authority added that the port has also exported more than two million metric tons of Iraqi oil transported through Syrian territory under the transit system, using 30 tankers loaded with fuel oil and refined petroleum products.
The statement further noted that the port received 19 vessels that underwent various maintenance and repair operations during the same period.
