Israeli Military Force Conducts Incursion into Village in Western Daraa Countryside
ARK News..A media source reported that an Israeli military force carried out an incursion into the western countryside of Daraa on Friday, with gunfire from Israeli troops causing fear and tension among residents.
According to Syrian media sources, an Israeli military force moved on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, from the Al-Jazira military post toward the outskirts of Maariya village in western Daraa.
The sources said the force advanced along the Al-Sawan road, which directly overlooks the village of Koya, where Israeli soldiers fired several bursts from machine guns over residential neighborhoods toward the villages of Maariya and Koya.
The gunfire reportedly created an atmosphere of fear and tension among residents before the Israeli force withdrew along the same route it had used to enter the area.
