Six Oil Tankers Leave the Strait of Hormuz in One Week
ARK News.. Ship-tracking company Kepler reported an increase in the number of vessels passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea, with 26 vessels recorded on Thursday, compared with 19 the previous day.
According to Reuters, Kepler data showed that only six crude oil tankers have exited the Strait of Hormuz so far this week, while the total number of vessels that have entered the strait has reached 21.
Most of the vessels that passed through the Strait of Hormuz used the Iranian route, according to the report.
Meanwhile, a U.S. official told American news network News Nation that any temporary shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz would be free of obstacles, including approvals, permits, transit fees or any other charges.
The U.S. official also stressed that no party controls the shipping lanes or has the authority to determine access through the Strait of Hormuz.
