New Round of Indirect U.S.–Iran Talks Begins in Oman

ARK News.. Official Iranian media reported the start of a new round of indirect negotiations between representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States in the Omani capital, Muscat.

According to sources, the discussions focus primarily on Iran’s nuclear program and potential measures for lifting the economic sanctions imposed on Tehran.

The U.S. delegation includes high-level officials such as Steve Witkoff, former Special Middle East Envoy under Trump, Jared Kushner, senior advisor and son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, and the commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

On the Iranian side, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi leads the delegation, with meetings facilitated by the Omani government to bridge differences and reach consensus on outstanding issues between the two countries.
