Caesar, Who Exposed Syrian Atrocities to the U.S., to Reveal His Identity Soon
ARK News.. Mohammed Barmo, a former Syrian parliament member who defected from the regime, has unveiled new details about "Caesar," the whistleblower who documented the brutal torture of detainees in Syrian regime prisons and leaked the evidence to the U.S. government.
In an interview with Al Arabiya, Barmo stated, "Caesar defected to Jordan, and I met him there in 2013."
He added, "Our mission and meetings were conducted in extreme secrecy due to fears of Assad’s persecution," noting that the U.S. maintained the confidentiality of Caesar’s team members.
Barmo revealed that American officials were shocked by the torture images from Assad’s prisons, emphasizing that Caesar’s files contain around 8,000 images of victims.
Furthermore, he disclosed that the full Caesar file includes 27,000 images depicting torture in Syrian regime prisons. He asserted that U.S. authorities thoroughly verified Caesar’s testimony regarding the abuses.
The former Syrian MP confirmed that "Caesar will soon appear in public, revealing his identity in person through audio and video."
Barmo also stated that Caesar hails from Houran in southern Syria and previously served as an assistant officer in the military police, where he led the forensic evidence department in the Qaboun district of Damascus.
He further revealed that only six individuals were aware of the Caesar file, describing the team as "honorable Syrians."
