ARK New… The Afrin region in Syrian Kurdistan witnessed the arrest of a number of Kurdish citizens and the seizure of the homes of others by factions of the "Syrian National Army."

A private source told ARK News that the militants of the "Mu'tasim Billah" faction arrested 3 elderly people in the village of "Bîbaka" in the Bibile town, and they are "Abdul Rahman Hassan Sharaf, 63 years old, Ziyad Sharaf, 55 years old, and Salan Dalo, 60 years old."

In the city of Jenderes, the Military Police arrested 10 citizens, most of whom had recently returned to their homes.

According to Welat TV follow-up and information received from sources in Afrin: “They arrested them under the pretext of dealing with the Democratic Union Party (PYD). A number of them were released after paying a financial ransom.”

The militants of the "Sultan Suleiman Shah" faction, known locally as "al-Amshat", seized the homes of 3 Kurdish citizens (Saydo Haj Ibrahim Sheikho, Hassan Mustafa Cholaq, and Othman Abdo Zalkhe) in the center of Shiye town in the Afrin countryside, and forced them out of them.

The city of Afrin and its seven towns are currently under the control of the Turkish forces and the "National Army" of the Syrian opposition, after it left the control of the "Autonomous Administration" of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) on March 18, 2018.
