Prosecutor General of Iran: Forensic medicine has announced comprehensive and complete specialist opinions in the case, but Amini's family has filed a complaint against the medical board
About 103 days after the protests that began last September against the background of the killing of the Kurdish girl, Gina (Mahsa) Amini, after she was arrested in Tehran because of her incomplete veil, the Iranian Public Prosecutor, Muhammad Ja’fari Montazar, said that the final response to the complaint of the Amini family has not been announced yet.
"The forensic medicine has announced the comprehensive and complete specialist opinions in this case, but the Amini family has filed a complaint against the medical board," Ja’fari said, on Sunday evening.
According to statements reported by Iranian media from the country's Attorney General, Amini's family filed a complaint against the "Medical Council", but lawyers for Mahsa Amini's parents previously announced that the blood relatives protested against the decision of the Forensic Medical Authority.
Al-Ja’fari added that the complaint of the Amini family "was referred to the medical board to obtain expertise, and the experts of the medical council have not yet announced their final opinion."
On September 13, the 22-year-old Kurdish girl, Gina (Mahsa) Amini, who was on a visit with her family to the Iranian capital, Tehran, was arrested by the Guidance Patrol (morality police) in Tehran under the pretext of wearing an "incomplete veil", and after she fainted. At the police station, she was taken to the hospital, and three days later she was pronounced dead in the hospital.
In addition, the Iranian Forensic Medicine Authority issued a statement on October 7, claiming that the cause of Mahsa Amini's death "was not the result of blows to her head, organs and vital elements in the body" and attributed her death to previous underlying factors.
This allegation came at a time when her father, Amjad Amini, repeatedly confirmed that he saw with his own eyes traces of blood on his daughter's body, at the back of her neck and ears, and that many parts of her body, including her legs, had traces of bruises.
Lawyers for the parents of Gina (Mahsa) Amini, on Wednesday, November 9, issued a statement on the latest developments in the case, warning of the government's insistence on the veracity of the published official version, and not accepting the parents' legal objection, which will harm the transparency of the procedures and public trust.
